Victorian Childhood: at School and Play

A half-day workshop to discover how Victorian children spent their days, which for some included house-hold chores and even work. The children will also learn about Victorian school life, past-times, toys, and games. The workshop, which is hosted in our Lecture Theatre and the Museum of Local Crafts & Industries (at the rear of the Hall), includes object handling, dressing-up and role-play.

Cost

Half day (10-11.30am or 12.30-2pm) £2.50 per pupil.

Full day £5.00 per pupil.

Accompanying staff free. Max group size is one class.
