Towneley Hall Art Gallery & Museum
Join us for a half-day workshop where children will discover what life was like for ordinary people in Ancient Egypt and learn about the vital importance of the River Nile to everyday life.
Pupils will have the exciting opportunity to explore our Egyptology collection, including real mummified human remains, an Egyptian sarcophagus, and a fascinating range of authentic and replica artefacts. Through hands-on investigation and discussion, children will uncover how Ancient Egyptians lived, worked, worshipped, and prepared for the afterlife.
Half day (10-11.30am or 12.30-2pm) £3 per pupil.
Full day £5.90 per pupil.
Accompanying staff free. Max group size is one class.
