The Dock Museum

Set in a Victorian dry dock, the Dock Museum looks at the rich history of Barrow. Beautifully crafted
prehistoric hand axes, the Viking Furness Hoard, the medieval Furness Abbey and industrial Barrow
ranging from iron and steel production, shipbuilding and today’s work in building submarines – all of this can be seen in this fascinating museum.
