The Beacon Museum

Situated on Whitehaven’s attractive harbour side, The Beacon Museum is home to the town’s museum collection. It traces the social, industrial and maritime heritage of the area, using local characters, audio-visual displays and fascinating museum pieces. The museum now also features a brand new 4th floor exhibition gallery which has already hosted national exhibitions and has unrivalled panoramic views of the town and coast. A new Conference and Learning Centre has recently been completed which will support and strengthen accessible lifelong learning and add to the unique mix already on offer.
