Penrith and Eden Museum

Penrith and Eden in a nutshell! The museum is housed in a listed building which is worth a visit in its own right. Inside, you can find out about the rich history and heritage of Penrith and surrounding area. The museum is a gateway to exploring the Neolithic age in the Eden Valley and Long Meg Stone Circle. Our collections are comprised of thousands of fascinating objects, including finds from the Roman period, mementoes of Penrith’s local heroes, paintings and an extensive geology collection. The museum has regularly changing exhibitions and a wide range of outreach and education sessions.
